Week 1 recap

Wow! What can I say?! The babies are already a week old - why then do I feel so much older? Maybe I'm just more mature now...well, no, that may never happen.
Cohen kisses

Cohen, Finn and Sophia have all graduated to level 2 status now, meaning they are very stable and breathing independently. They are trying to get these 3 into the same "pod" and eventually in the same crib. I'm sure we provide entertainment for the staff right now as we try to remember where each child is. We find ourselves walking into the wrong pod for the wrong child. Right now, we are visiting 3 different pods to see the babies, which gets quite confusing and tiring. I mean, how do you split up your time between them all? Fortunately, Mari and I have enough love to go around.
Daddy's little girl

Loving on Finn & Sophia

We are starting to see their little personalities evolve. Cohen is definitely the leader as he is the oldest brother and has not had any issues. We think Noah will be the silent leader and probably a little coddled because of what he has been through. Finn seems to be a little more reserved and maybe the intellect of the bunch; although, Sophia did figure out how to wiggle out of her CPAP. Sophia will be a little firecracker and vocal about what's on her mind, and of course, she'll be daddy's little girl. The boys are very chill, much like me. We can't wait to see how they evolve and for the crazy things they'll do together.
Finn in his natural state

Mari's sister, Emalee, came into town tonight. This could not be a better time because I return to work tomorrow:( It sounds like the sisters are planning a good time - I just heard them talking about packing a cooler...going to the beach? I am so glad Emalee is here right now to be with Mari, and I know Mari is thrilled as well.
Grandma Glass & Cohen

It is amazing to see that we had more comments on the Noah prayer blog than at the birth. That is what it is all about...people coming together to show support and love and lift each other up when the seas are rough.
Sweet baby Noah
A funny thing happened on the way to the NICU. This lady in the elevator asked Mari when she was due. Mari's reply was that she already had her babies. The lady then asked if she knew what she was having. Mari replied, "I had 3 boys and a girl." The lady said, "I know, but what are you having now?" I'm not sure if she ever quite got it, but it was defintiely hilarious.

Nothing strengthens faith like witnessing answered prayers. The six of you have given us evidence of the gifts of our Loving God. Mari, anyone who can have 4 babies and post a blog as full of news as you have will be a great Mom. You make it look easy. We continue to pray... Joan and Pete
