If You Can't Beat Them - Join Them!

It has been a busy month this February with visit from friends, a week with Grandma & Papa, a weekend in Austin and fighting colds & breaking 2 year molars all throughout. I haven't taken the time to upload photos yet, but when I do I'll post some pics of February's festivities.

In the meantime, I saw this hilarious video at MOPS last Friday that I had to share. I laughed so hard because the night prior I had done almost the same exact thing. The whining and tantrums had gone on all day long and continued into bath time which is usually the best time of the day for all of us. I simply couldn't beat them - so... well .... I sunk to their level. Funny enough, the tantrums stopped and we had quite a pleasant evening after that. Watch for yourself, I hope you get a chuckle out of it too!

I think I may do that when they get older!!! I may do it for HN pretty soon! I don't think Hannah Noelle would be shocked if I did it though, she's used to be serenading her in public because she won't quit saying my name, etc. Love it Mari, so glad to know we're "normal"! Love ya!

hi! It's the first time I've seen your blog, but I wanted to comment on the video you posted. There's a book called "Happiest Toddler on the Block" and the author suggests doing this very thing. Mimic'ing your child's tantrum...it let's them know that you hear them and understand the frustration they are feeling. Seriously, I do it all the time! (Well, not throwing my self on the floor) but I fake cry and make really silly sad faces. It works every time!!

p.s. Great blog!
