Girl Scouts - Friend or Foe?

Okay, Girl Scouts, why oh why do you have to sell such delicious cookies during get-back-in-shape season? I can't tell you how many of those scrumptious thin mints I've eaten and I'm definitely NOT getting any thinner as the name would imply.  But, I'm a step ahead this week. Now that the kids can eat just about anything, I've decided to pass the calories onto their little hips, I mean lips.

Look What You're Missin', Mom!

Finn Tries To Force Feed Them To Me

Cohen, You've Got A Little Something...
...Ahh, Nevermind!

This is awesome, Mom, looks like dirt,
feels like dirt, but tastes so much better!

And since we're on the subject of Girl Scouts, I thought I'd pass along a little tip that a troop leader offered when I told her Finn was having horrible diaper rash from teething. A bit of Corn Starch on the bum will do wonders!  She failed to mention not to let him look at the can as a distraction while changing the diaper - it just doesn't work so well when it's all over his face!

my favorite part of this post is that the corn starch can says "no mess!"

Another great tip for diaper rashes is to mix two tablespoons of liquid mylanta with a tube of desitine. It is messy to make but it is amazing at clearing up diaper rashes. I keep a mixture available at all times in cash he gets a little red.

You could use a salt shaker to put the corn starch in...I'm not sure how it's different than the J&J brand baby corn starch, though, so that might be more convenient to use than out of the can/box corn starch.

SO CUTE!!! I have to agree with the No Mess part, that was HILARIOUS!! Keep eating the Thin Mints girl, if you think thin, you will be thin!!! Just like I think I'm saine, so I must be saine! That's how it works, right?

So funny!!! We use cornstarch as well. Sometimes I let them air-dry and then put vaseline to put a barrier and then pat on the cornstarch.

Be careful with the corn starch it increases the chances of a yeast infection, warm th plus moisture plus corn starch+great conditions for a yeast infection!!!

Delicious! I am partial to the Thin Mints myself. I'm glad you found a way to rid of those tubes of cookies in a quick way!

Awwww cute. Maybe I'll give Finley a thin mint for dessert and see what the thinks... Oh nevermind. He already had a pre-dinner bath, don't ask! ;)

We have been using cornstarch for years. When the girls get a diaper rash, we put antifungal cream on and then cake on the corn starch. It works well.

YES! Corn Starch ROCKS!! It's all I use :) I also recommend it to all new Momma's who just can't seem to cure that aweful rash on their baby's bum!
Take care,
