It has been nice and warm here in Texas and we were lucky enough to enjoy a warm winter rain the other day. The kids and I had so much fun splashing around in it. I took a little video while trying not to get the camera too wet!
I love it. My daughter has a heart attack when I take my grandson out to play in the rain, but I tell her puddle dancing is the best thing in the world for young and old alike.
These are the best moments-just enjoying whatever is happening. From looks of hesitation to squeals of joy. And of course the best part is that rain makes digging in the dirt so very interesting. (But does rain make dirt tastier?) Enjoy the blessings of this week -much love to all.
greatness! how cute are those kiddies!!! and noah, omg, he looks SO grown up! you are such a great mom, mari!!--you find the little things in life to explore and make an adventure out of...your children are beyond blessed.
we'd LOVE to see you this weekend! happy almost anniversary!!! love you, suz
I love to see kids playing in the rain. I used to have my kids out in the rain when they were younger. My son used to play with his trucks in the mud. You can dry them and their clothes. Enjoy them while they are young.
Such sweet comments - I never intended this post to bring so much flattery, but I'll take it - thank you! Some of my favorite childhood memories are of splashing in puddles, making mud pies and just getting dirty with no consequences! It's not easy to allow myself to let go as much as I'd like to but once I do, it's so much more fun for me too. :)
Jamie - the song was Row, Row, Row Your Boat on Susie Tallman's Childrens Song CD
Shannon - It WAS bath day! You know me too well. ;)
We are parents to three rambunctious boys and one even more rambunctious little girl who were all born in the same minute of the same day in August of 2007. This entire journey has allowed us to witness everyday miracles and proves to us that God is very much alive and walking among us. Great challenge has come with the miracles and we are learning to choose to be joyful through the daily tests. This blog is a collection of memories and a look at how we learn to grow more mature in our faith even as our faith is stretched to the max at times. Thank you for walking it with us, your encouragement and prayers are such a blessing to our family.

What fun! Finley says he wants to come visit Ms. Mari's house. He LOVES rain, water and mud! :) I am guessing this was bath day? Adorable!
Mari, I admire you so much. You truly are on AMAZING mommy and your kiddos are so VERY VERY lucky.
